Terms of Service

Last updated: September 6, 2026

These are the terms of the deal between you and Fairtold. We've kept them short and honest, because that's the whole point of this company. By using our service, you're agreeing to what's written here. Questions? Email hello@fairtold.com.

What the service is

Fairtold manages your existing website. You give us the login to your hosting account, and we handle the updates, edits, and upkeep you ask for. Your site stays on your hosting, under your account, in your name. We're the mechanic, not the dealership.

What the service isn't

We don't build custom software. If you need an app, a database-driven platform, or bespoke code written from scratch, we're not the right fit — and we'll tell you so rather than take your money. We work on websites you already have.

The free trial

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. No credit card required — we mean it. If it's not for you, walk away and you'll owe nothing and hear no hard sell from us.

Billing and cancellation

Your hosting login

To do the work, we need access to your hosting account. Here's our end of that bargain:

Your content is yours

Everything on your website — the words, the images, the design, the domain — belongs to you. Always has, always will. Working on your site gives us zero ownership of it. If we part ways, everything stays exactly where it is: with you.

Acceptable use

We work on lawful websites. If your site is used for anything illegal — fraud, scams, content that breaks the law — we'll decline the work or end the relationship. That's the whole rule: keep it legal.

Our responsibility, plainly

We fix what we break. If our work causes a problem on your site, we'll repair it at no charge — that's on us.

What we can't take responsibility for is your business outcomes. We can't promise your site will bring in customers, rank on Google, or grow your revenue, and we're not liable if it doesn't. We're also not responsible for problems caused by your hosting company, third-party services, or things outside our control. Our total liability to you is capped at what you've paid us in the past twelve months. We think that's fair, and we've said it in one paragraph instead of ten pages.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell customers directly before the change takes effect. If you don't like a change, you can cancel — no penalty, as always.

The legal basics

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If some part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
